The lost Treasure of Alexander von Humboldt

Wir haben alle drei Räume von THE ROOM besucht und dieser war absolut der beste. Zwar alle davon bewunderswert sind, ist der letzte Raum ein echtes Abenteuer und gleichzeitig die Zeitreise in die Welt von Indiana Jones.
Die Rätsel sind anspruchsvoll und wenn man schon alle löst, fühlt man unbegrenzte Zufriedenheit. Mann muss ebenfalls ein bisschen fit sein, um den ganzen Raum bewundern zu können. Die Ausstattung spielt ebenfalls eine große Rolle – alles kann von großer Bedeutung sein. Man muss nur richtig gucken! Und manchmal auch hören.

Jeder, der Berlin besucht und Escape Rooms mag, muss diesen Raum ebenfalls besuchen.

I'm extremely happy that I was able to do this room on my fifth anniversary of visiting escape rooms. The Lost Treasure is perfect in every way. It has a wonderful decor that makes you forget that it's all just a game. The puzzles, although there are a few of them, are linear and fit the plot perfectly. And speaking of it - a great game, the beginning of the game is very atmospheric, the further the better. Visually, this room is a masterpiece. The sound effects pushed themselves into my ears and didn't want to come out. What I appreciate most is the creators' management of space - it's amazing!

Jestem niezmiernie szczęśliwy, że udało mi się zrobić ten pokój w moja piąta rocznice odwiedzania escape roomów. The Lost Treasure jest idealny pod każdym względem. Ma wspaniały wystrój, który pozwala zapomnieć, że to wszystko wokół to tylko gra. Zagadki, choć jest ich niewiele, są liniowe i świetnie pasują do fabuły. A jeśli już o niej mowa - świetnie poprowadzona gra, początek rozgrywki bardzo klimatyczny, im dalej tym lepiej. Wizualnie ten pokój to arcydzieło. Efekty dźwiękowe aż same pchały się do uszu i nie chciały z nich wyjść. Najbardziej doceniam twórców za gospodarowaniem przestrzenią - cudo!

You know the escape room was good when after escaping it you cannot create in your head a 3D map of all the places you've been to while playing it. This room has exceptionally high production value. I am not 100% sure about it, but I have heard that some of the props used were actual props from the Indiana Jones movie. The architecture and scenography are very strong side of this room. All the lightning and the soundtrack are incredible as well. This is even more impressive once you hear that this room was built in a freaking 2015!!! This is madness.

Puzzles in this room were still good but not up to par with the very high production value set by looks and shape of interior and it generally seems to be agreed upon among people I asked. But don't get me wrong, they still guarantee a very enjoyable experience. At one place you may be tempted to "guess the last digit". I was a bit disgusted by the poor design of this element, especially seeing how easily it could have been patched this time, but please listen to me and this one time resist this urge to "guess the last digit" if you want to have the full experience, because you should really enjoy your time in this beautiful room and that is neither some competition nor the right time to "punish designers" for their bad decisions.

One more thing that deserves the mention is very good customer service. Immersion starts definitely before the game starts with a very good Game Master acting. To seal the great experience, we got definitely the best photo I have ever been taken in an escape room. On the bad side we got some unwanted hints :(.

By the way, make sure to book this room A LOT in advance, cause this is so popular basically all the spots for the closest two weeks are fully booked. And make sure to visit Brandon Darkmoor as well, because this is the award winning room too, many people prefer it even more than the Lost Treasure.

On a personal story note, how did I end up in this room? My friend asked me about some escape room recommendations in Berlin since he will be there in two weeks. I have never been to any of them at the time he asked me, but I have heard great online recommendations for this room, so I told him about it. ~Two days later he asked me whether I would like to join him. I got no reasons to be in Berlin at that time and I live in Warsaw, but as a crazy escape room enthusiast I quickly searched trains online and chose one that departs at 5:36 AM from Warsaw in order to go to "Go West" room (in The Room as well), then to this room and then to return the same day to Warsaw. Definitely worth it!!!

In my new rating scale that I decided to adapt (1-horrible, 2-ok, possibly flawed, 3-good, worth doing, 4-very good, 5-extraordinary) I grade this at:

Alle Räume da schon besucht!
Interaktive Rätsel, spannende Geschichte, sehr nette Spielleiterin. Das ist ja auch richtig, dass man irgendwie fit sein muss, um den Raum zu besuchen. Wir warten auf die neuen Räume!

Einer der besten Räume, ich liebe die Story und alle Dekorationen. Es gab eine Aufgabe drin, die ich genial finde, will aber nicht spoilern :) muss gesehen werden!!

Es gibt dabei eigentlich nichts zu verbessern, nur die Umgebung ist ja nur problematisch, das hat aber keinen Einfluss auf die Note. Definitiv empfehlenswert, sowohl für Anfänger als auch für die schon erfahrenen Spieler. Auch historisch geprägt.

Schon kurz vorm Anfang konnten wir noch chillen und nettes Gespräch mit unserem Game Master führen - in der Lobby gibt es kälte Getränke und man kann auch EXIT-Spiele kaufen, wenn jemand nur Lust hat. Und danach beginnt reines Abenteuer.
Nur der Anfang des Spieles war für mich nicht so komfortabel (alle, die den Raum besucht haben, wissen bestimmt, worum es geht). Aber alles, was danach kommt, macht diese Stunde unvergesslich. Momentan war die Musik leider zu laut. Das ganze System von Hinweisen ist großartig, die Rätsel sind mehr als entzückend. Bis zur letzten Sekunde macht der Raum Spaß.
Ich denke, alles wurde schon zum Thema in weiteren Kommentaren gesagt. Den Raum besuchen auch Gruppen aus anderen Ländern, die nach Berlin fahren. Jetzt ist es viel schwieriger wegen Corona. Ich hoffe, dass es aber schnell vorbeikommt. Weil diese Geschichte reines Kunstwerk ist und jeder da spielen soll.

In der Stadt sein und den Raum nicht besuchen? Das geht nicht :) Alles wurde schon gesagt: man muss da spielen, einfach!!!!!

Ich denke, dass die wichtigsten Sachen zum Thema schon gesagt wurden. Der Raum ist einfach genial, so wie [wahrscheinlich]* die anderen Räume da. Abenteuer wie noch nie.
*Das war mein erster THE ROOM Raum, die anderen muss ich in der Zukunft besuchen, aber meine Freunde sagen, dass sie genial sind und ich vertraue ihnen.

Shut up and take my money! Must Have in Deutschland! So definiere ich mein Glück nach dem Besuch.
Das war eine produktive Stunde mit zahlreichen Rätseln, die nicht immer so eindeutig sind, aber dabei sehr sehr logisch. Und es gibt da irgendeine Aufgabe zu machen, die ich wunderbar finde.
