Królestwo Rivenhall przez wieki cieszyło się potęgą i dobrobytem. Na jego tronie zasiadał Król Aldric III – zwany Czarnym Królem, nie z powodu okrucieństwa, lecz przez czarną zbroję, która stała się symbolem jego nieugiętej woli i bezwzględnej strategii. Rządził twardą ręką, ale za to bardzo sprawiedliwie.

Jednak ostatnie miesiące przyniosły niepokój. Władca zaczął słabnąć – jego ciało pokryły ciemne żyły, a umysł ogarnęła paranoja.
Pałac szeptał o magii. O zdradzie. O karze za dawne grzechy.

Zaufani doradcy milczą, a leczenie nie przynosi efektów. W akcie desperacji król wezwał tych, którym ufa najbardziej.

Wy, jako lojalni rycerze przybywacie na zamek, by rozwikłać zagadkę tajemniczej choroby władcy. Macie niewiele czasu – każdej nocy stan króla się pogarsza. Jeśli nie znajdziecie odpowiedzi, król umrze… a królestwo pogrąży się chaosie.
