The Beast of Berlin

Auf dem ersten Blick haben wir bei diesem Rätselspiel mit einem ganz normalen, vielleicht ein bisschen altmodischen Büro zu tun. Aber im Laufe der Zeit entdeckt man, dass jede Medaille zwei Seiten hat. Die von uns durchgeführten Ermittlungen beweisen nur, dass jede Sache nicht oberflächlich geprüft werden soll – weil das Ende ganz überraschend sein kann...
Das Spiel war echt gut, aber für uns ganz kurz – nur ein bisschen über 30 Minuten :)

The Berlin Beast is not some dragon that lives in caves, but a murderer with a motive! Our goal is to discover everything about the victims, everything about him, preferably everything about everything. The first half of the game was atmospherically just ok, but had very interesting puzzles. The second part of the game was the other way around - the puzzles weren't captivating, but the decor, atmosphere and soundtrack were great! Nevertheless, it is a very interesting position compared to Berlin.

Berlińska bestia to nie jakiś tam smok, który sobie żyje w jaskiniach, a morderca z motywem! Naszym celem jest odkryć wszystko o ofiarach, wszystko o nim, najlepiej wszystko o wszystkim. Pierwsza połowa gry była klimatycznie po prostu ok, ale miała bardzo ciekawe zagadki. Druga część rozgrywki odwrotnie - zagadki nie porwały, ale wystrój, klimat i ścieżka dźwiękowa bardzo! Mimo wszystko jest to bardzo ciekawa pozycja na tle Berlina.

Beast of Berlin is one of the older and not award winning ones games of The Room, but it is a still good room worth playing. It has well made creepy ambience, decent story and good puzzles. This day we played Lost Treasure, Brandon Darkmoor and Beast of Berlin and while the other two in overall were much more impressive for me, we all agreed that Beast got the most satisfying puzzles.

In my new rating scale that I decided to adapt (1-horrible, 2-ok, possibly flawed, 3-good, worth doing, 4-very good, 5-extraordinary) I grade this at:
Set design, ambience, production value: 3
Puzzles: 3
Something original: 3
Did I have fun?: 3

Totally in love with this story! Perfect decorations, plot twist and some creepy things! This is not even a scary room, gut creepy as I said before. The big lobby with some fresh drinks and escape games for sale are things I saw the first time in my entire life. Simply, but good. I would like to say THANK YOU to our game master, sorry that I forgot your name dude :( But we had a really nice conversation after the game.

Der Raum hat mir sehr gefallen. Ein bisschen spooky, obwohl es am Anfang nicht so sichtbar ist. Geniale Geschichte, und Plot-Twist ist noch da! Und noch mit dem historischen Hintergrund!

Nice puzzles, nice room, nice game master, everything was more than great. Thank you for the game!!!!!

Auch das dritte Spiel des Anbieters "The Room" war sher stimmungsvoll.

Anfänglich durchstöbert man natürlich erst einmal das Büro eines Kommissars, um sich mit dem Fall vertraut zu machen.

Die Suche nach der Bestie von Berlin führt das Team natürlich auch in Räume, die für Schreck-Momente sorgen und die mit schummrigen Licht in der richtigen Stimmung erscheinen.

Tolle Rätsel an allen Stellen, jedoch eher wenige. Der Raum eignet sich gut für Anfänger.

Wir haben den Raum zu sechst gespielt, als Idealgröße muss man aber auch hier wohl eher 4 Personen ansetzen.
