ER Champ
Timezone:
Keeping the world informed about events is our responsibility. It's also an opportunity to encourage new puzzle fans to take part in exciting activities. That is why we are doubly happy, as a patron, to inform you that this year's ER Champ event has been set! What else do we know about the sixth edition? Let’s check it!
For fans of puzzles who follow competitions related to escape rooms and puzzles, it does't really need to be introduced - it is an escape room competition created by the authors of Lockme, which in 2017-2019 functioned under the name PolandEscape and took place stationary in Poland is not yet commercially opened rooms and in scenarios specially prepared for the competition. With the outbreak of the pandemic, the format moved to the online world, which every year brings together competitors from all over the world looking to win the title of world escape room champions.
This year's competition, just like the previous ones, consists of two stages in the online form: online eliminations and the final. We can now make it official: teams will face off in the elimination on November 5, 2022 (4 PM UTC), and about 100 teams will move on and face off for the title of world champions on November 26, 2022 (4 PM UTC). In addition, on October 8, 2022 (4 PM UTC), so, before the eliminations, there will be a so-called stress test. Does this mean that there is only one month left until the start of this exciting time?
Players register their teams on the championship website, which is located at http://erchamp.com. A point-and-click game is made available to players at a given time - each team gets access to the game at the same time. In the first stage, which lasts 4 hours, about 100 teams are selected to play in the finale. This one is based on identical principles - a point-and-click game, 4 hours, starts at the same time. But only the winners will then become the World Champions 2022 in the escape room!
Both stages will be preceded by a so-called stress test - it's a short and simple game, also point-and-click type, which has two main tasks: it's supposed to help organizers to optimize servers before eliminations and to familiarize players with the interface and moving around within the game.
First of all, the competition is completely free - no entry fee is charged and this is one of the most important goals of the organizers. The competition was, is and will be free, so that every puzzle lover has a chance to try their hand.
Before entering this year's competition, we recommend that you familiarize yourself with the levels from previous years. This way you will know what the mechanics of the competition games look like, how to move around the board or what to expect more or less from the authors of the puzzles.
We have also written down the answers to the questions that most often (in fact, always) arise during contests. Read them carefully, as well as the contest rules - they will surely be helpful!
As patrons of the event, we are obliged to tell you that the presence is obligatory for all puzzle lovers. There will be no shortage of rivalry, puzzles of various difficulty levels and, above all, good fun. The competition is in fact the culmination of many months of work and preparation, which each time is a demanding but extraordinary journey. We hope that also this year you will also be there. Good luck!
Some say it's too early to celebrate autumn - but we disagree. The Mystery Package contest is back for its fifth year in a magical, autumnal setting. Prizes worth 800-1300 PLN await you. What does the magical treasure chest hold?
Do you enjoy sharing your escape room experiences? Now it can pay off – and every month! Leave a review on Lockme and take part in a contest where you can win prizes worth at least 1000 PLN each month. We’re looking for the most helpful, specific, and reliable review. Check the details!
