      Tysiące lat temu, podczas trwania największej w dziejach świata wojny wykuto Pierścień. Pierścień o wielkiej mocy, dający jego posiadaczowi władzę nad wszechrzeczą. Ludowe przekazy mówią, że Pierścień zaginął zaraz po decydującym starciu i do dziś czeka na wybrańca, który zadecyduje o dalszych losach świata. Stare podania nie mówią jednak o tym, że przez ten czas Pierścień uległ złym mocom i jego dalsze istnienie zagraża wszystkim żyjącym na tych ziemiach istotom.
