Room Escape Artist have announced this year's RECON - quite a change from last year!

The well-known escape room industry-wide website Room Escape Artist, created by David Spira and his wife Lisa, and other co-founders, is the organizer of the annual escape room event - the RECON international conference. We already know when and in which form RECON 2023 will be held.

In previous editions, the event was attended by industry personalities from around the world - including those responsible for TERPECA - Top Escape Room Project, representatives of technology companies and global media. The host of RECON 2022 was Neil Patrick Harris - American film and TV series star, lover of puzzles, escape rooms and creator of the escape room board game.

    RECON 2023, August 19-20

In early January, David and Lisa Spira announced during a live stream on YouTube that this year's RECON will be held remote. This information, along with more information about the event, was confirmed last Saturday on REA's website and RECON's social media.

The event will take place August 19-20.

What can we expect from RECON 2023?

RECON Remote will not be the first edition to take place online - editions 20 and 21 were also held this way. As in the aforementioned editions, it will utilize Discord and pre-recorded talks on YouTube. Ticket information will be available this spring. Interestingly, REA has also already announced that RECON will be held offline in 2024.

In 2024, RECON will take place in person, in another US city TBA.
