TERPECA 2023 results. Which rooms are the best in the world?
On Saturday, December 16, the announcement of the top 100 rooms according to TERPECA took place. Escape rooms from all over the world kept their fingers crossed to be among the top 100. Where do the most outstanding rooms come from? How has the ranking changed from last year? What rooms do puzzle fans like to play in?

What is TERPECA?
Top Escape Rooms Project Enthusiasts' Choice Award (TERPECA), is an attempt to find the best escape rooms around the world. The project started in 2018 and was led by 70 people. Then 25 best escape rooms and 10 best companies were selected. Last year's TERPECA was attended by 955 contributors, over 900 rooms were nominated, of which the top 100 were selected. Each year the project grows, and new rules of nomination and voting appear.
World’s TOP 100
TERPECA is divided into several stages. On the first stage, escape room enthusiasts from around the world submitted their favorites. The next stage was voting - more experienced fans, registered on the voting site, assigned points to escape rooms qualified for stage 2.
This year TERPECA counted a record number of nominations - there were 4355. Other numbers of the nomination phase, published by TERPECA:

- 943 Top Room nominees
- 386 Top Room finalists
The best escape rooms in the world
TERPECA's results are generating more and more interest every year - both among escape room fans and among room creators and owners. Looking at this year's TOP 10, one can see how much the ranking has changed and how many new rooms have climbed to the top. This is a testament to the growth of the escape room industry and the increasingly high level of rooms.
This year the Netherlands, Spain and Greece proved to be merciless to the European competition. These three European countries, increasingly a destination for escape room tourism, occupy almost half of all the places in the TOP 100 TERPECA 2023 (21 from Spain, 17 from Greece and 9 from the Netherlands).
