The ceremony of Bullseye Awards 2022 will start on January 28 (that's tomorrow!) at 5 PM (EST). The gala will be held for the fourth time this year. The organizers are Cici Cao and Brandon Chow, who run together the ESCAPETHEROOMers blog.
What is it exactly?
Let's perhaps start by saying what the Bullseye Awards are in general. Although the gala is evolving every year, so like its formula, awards for escape rooms and escape room related products and services are given at this event. They are divided into two parts: awards given by the creators of ESCAPETHEROOMers and by the public through online voting, which takes place via their blog. You can get an honourable mention in such categories as set design, storyline or best print-n-cut game of the year, among others. These are just a few of the many categories that have appeared in previous years, and during the awards, we can expect to hear speeches from creators or people associated with the puzzle room industry.
It is worth mentioning that two years ago Neil Patrick Harris gave his speech at the gala. It may come as a surprise to many, but the actor created BoxONE, an escape room box game.
And who are the organizers? Cici and Brandon are enthusiasts who have been running the ESCAPETHEROOMers blog for several years. They primarily review the rooms they've visited and report on news or industry tidbits, but that's not their only activity. The founders of the blog and members of the team of the same name also patronize many events from the world of escape rooms and support during the creation of texts related to puzzle rooms. They also often appear as guests or content partners at events and are active in the enthusiast community. They are affiliated with TERPECA, ER Camp, RECON or within our Escape Buzz, among others.
