Lockme now offers a powerful chat system that enables efficient and orderly communication between users. The tool allows both individual and group conversations.
Where can you find the chat?
Chat is available on a separate sub-page, independent of the user's profile. This means no distractions and more comfort while typing. The whole thing is based on a chat structure to which the user can join others, manage settings or just have a simple message exchange.
How to start a new conversation?
To start a new conversation, click the ✏️ button in the lower right corner of the screen (visible in the conversation list). Then select one or more friends with whom you want to have a conversation. The conversation will be created automatically when you add participants - you can start writing messages right away.
Conversations - how does it work?
Each chat conversation works independently. What you should know:
- A conversation can be held by more than one person (group chat).
By default, the conversation gets:
- a name (based on the nicknames of the participants),
- avatar (a compilation of avatars of people in the conversation).
- The person who started the conversation becomes the author (initiator) of the conversation and gains additional privileges:
Powers of the author of the conversation:
- can delete the entire conversation or selected people from the group,
- can change the name of the conversation,
- can change the avatar of the conversation.
Permissions of other participants:
- can add a new person to the conversation,
- can block or unblock the author of the conversation (blocking means that messages go to the "Spam" folder),
- can move the conversation to spam manually - without affecting the other participants.
Messages - how to send and manage?
In a conversation you can send:
- Text - classic text messages.
- Pictures - sent pictures also appear in the "Gallery" tab in the conversation information panel.
Each message has options available (visible by hovering the cursor or clicking the icon on touch devices):
- Delete your message - it will be replaced with "Message deleted" information.
- Reply to your message - a quote will appear above your balloon, and clicking on it takes you to the original message.
Conversation categories
Conversations are organized in three tabs:
- Conversations - your main, active conversations.
- Invitations - messages from users you don't have on your friends list.
- Spam - messages from blocked users or manually marked as spam.
Important: if you reply to a message in "Invitations" or "Spam," it will automatically be moved to "Conversations." However, this does not mean:
- unblocking the user in question,
- adding him to the circle of friends.

New messages, invitations and spam are clearly marked - both in the conversations list and in the main menu.
Filtering conversations
Above the list is a search engine that allows you to:
- search by names of conversations,
- search by the nicknames of users participating in the conversation.
