Osiri’s Heart – Escape Krakow
Wow! What an amazing room!
This one is definitely in our top 10 of all time!
Game Master & Service
A big shoutout to the game master for being so friendly, fluent in English, and informative without giving away any spoilers. For example, one of our team members always asks about claustrophobic elements. The game master clearly explained that there are some, but that it’s not necessary for the entire team to go through tight spaces. They also warned us in advance about some of the less-than-perfect English used in the room’s built-in hints, which helped us prepare. We didn’t receive any actual hints, just clarification on things we couldn’t understand – exactly how it should be!
Puzzle Quality
This is not your typical old-school escape room with padlocks, numerical codes, or wordplay. This is a “do-it” room, where you use physical props and interact with the technology around you to move the story forward. The puzzles were quite logical – no need to combine too many elements or reuse items later on. You don’t need any prior knowledge of Egyptian mythology to succeed, and the in-room clues help immerse you in the story. It really felt like we were in Egypt, raiding tombs!
Effects
Simple but highly effective effects throughout the room. Some sections are intense, so make sure you go with people you trust. The lighting could be tricky at times, but it always cleared up – patience pays off. The ambient voice and unexpected door reveals added a great touch. Even as experienced players, we never knew where the next door would appear.
Number of Players
This room is designed for 2–5 players. We played as five and found the beginning of the game a bit cramped. With five people, we sometimes got in each other’s way and ended up spending more time on some of the simpler puzzles. It worked, but we’d recommend a team of four for the best experience.
Difficulty Level
Escape Krakow rates this room as advanced (4/5 padlocks), but we’d place it closer to intermediate. The puzzles aren’t always straightforward, and some prior experience is definitely helpful. That said, the game master won’t kick you out when time’s up – they’ll guide you through if needed. As an experienced team, we appreciated the balance of challenges. Everyone in our diverse group of five contributed something unique to solving the puzzles.
Conclusion
A must-play for all escape room enthusiasts! Engaging story, challenging yet logical puzzles, and excellent effects and design. This is hands down our favorite Egypt-themed room – a fresh and unique take on a classic escape room concept. Make sure to visit Escape Krakow for Osiri’s Heart!
