From the moment we entered, it was clear that this was not a typical escape room. The level of detail, creativity, and overall execution is remarkable. Every area feels carefully designed, and the scale of the experience is unlike anything I've encountered before. It feels less like a single escape room and more like a complete adventure.
We played as a team of two. While the room is certainly achievable with this team size, I think groups of three or four may progress a little more efficiently through some sections. Despite that, we were able to experience everything the room had to offer and never felt overwhelmed by the challenge.
The puzzles are varied, engaging, and integrated into the experience in a way that keeps the game flowing naturally. The extended playtime allows the story and environment to develop at a pace that wouldn't be possible in a standard 60-minute room.
A special mention goes to our Game Master. We ran slightly over the allotted 110 minutes, and seeing how close we were to the finish, they allowed us to complete the experience. Yes, The Green Mile is more expensive than a typical escape room. However, once you experience the scale, quality, and amount of content on offer, the pricing becomes much easier to understand. Comparing it to a standard one-hour room doesn't really do it justice.
It's easy to see why this room is so highly rated. Whether you're an experienced enthusiast or relatively new to escape rooms, this is a room that deserves a place on your must-play list.
